New Set: Warlord’s Glory!
Discovering a New Set Quietly Added to Diablo II Resurrected

In the latest patch 2.9, a new set named Warlord’s Glory has appeared in Diablo II Resurrected in a way that sits somewhere between official content and unfinished rollout. The set was first added to Diablo II China and, with the most recent global patch, is now also present in the standard game files.
All items are fully implemented and functional, but the set is currently disabled from dropping in normal gameplay. While this means it cannot be obtained legitimately, it can already be tested in game through the hero editor, revealing a complete and well balanced design.
Present in the Files, Disabled in Drops
Warlord’s Glory is not placeholder content:
- All five items have finished stats
- Partial and full set bonuses work correctly
- Visual effects and auras trigger as expected
- Drop flags are disabled, preventing natural acquisition
The Warlord’s Glory Set Items
The set consists of five armor pieces covering gloves, helm, chest armor, boots, and belt.
Warlord’s Conquest (Gauntlets)

- Defense: 15
- Required Strength: 60
- +45 to Attack Rating
- +15 to Strength
A straightforward melee focused glove, clearly aimed at physical builds.
Warlord’s Lust (Great Helm)

- Defense: 50
- Required Strength: 63
- +15 Defense
- +30 to Life
A survivability oriented helm that complements the defensive nature of the set.
Warlord’s Mantle (Full Plate Mail)

- Defense: 201
- Required Strength: 80
- +25% Enhanced Defense
- Cold Resist +30%
The centerpiece armor of the set, providing solid defense and cold resistance.
Warlord’s Crushers (Greaves)

- Defense: 15
- Required Strength: 70
- +20% Faster Run Walk
- Fire Resist +20%
Movement speed and fire resistance make these boots immediately useful even outside the full set.
Warlord’s Authority (Plated Belt)

- Defense: 11
- Required Strength: 60
- +25 to Life
- Lightning Resist +20%
The belt completes the set and mainly serves to unlock higher tier set bonuses rather than offering standout individual stats.
Warlord’s Glory Set Bonuses

The true strength of Warlord’s Glory lies in its bonuses, which scale cleanly as more pieces are equipped.
Partial Set Bonuses
- 15% Life Stolen per Hit (2 items)
- +150 Defense (3 items)
These early bonuses already provide meaningful sustain and survivability, making partial combinations viable.
Full Set Bonuses

With all five pieces equipped, Warlord’s Glory additionally grants:
- +1 to All Skills
- Level 10 Aura When Equipped
- Damage Reduced by 9
- Fire Resist +15%
- +20 to Mana
on an armor based set is especially notable. Outside of runewords like , this level of mana sustain is rarely available, and never without occupying a weapon slot.
Intended Use and Balance
Warlord’s Glory appears designed for melee and hybrid builds rather than pure casters:
- Paladins benefit heavily from Meditation and +skills
- Barbarians gain sustain, defense, and damage reduction
- Shape shifting Druids can leverage life leech and survivability
Importantly, the set feels strong but not dominant. It does not compete with endgame runewords, suggesting it is meant as a mid to late game alternative rather than a best in slot option.
Why Is It Still Disabled?
Blizzard has not commented on Warlord’s Glory, but its current state suggests intentional staging:
- The set is complete and balanced
- It already shipped once in a regional version
- It now exists in global builds without activation
This strongly points toward future ladder content, a seasonal unlock, or a delayed global rollout rather than abandoned content.
